I share a home workspace together with my husband. Though we discuss nicely and take turns, I don’t feel like I can fully personalize the desktop and allow it to reflect my feminine style. Recently I’ve been considering creating two distinct areas for our office work so he can appreciate his more industrial accessories while I enjoy a bit more girly sparkle and chicness at an area that is suitable for my preference more.

I have not worked out all the details yet, but I’m getting a better feel for the design that I seem to be drawn to. I enjoy a bit of mixed metals (such as gold and silver), a dash of lilac, a splash of gray and amethyst and some inspirational typography; the one trend I am crushing hard on is Lucite. It always seems to look so glossy.

I’ve been searching for office items that embody luxe femininity and function function, and I’ve discovered a number in several price ranges to receive my creative juices flowing and then spark some inspiration in this undertaking. I am hoping these selections inspire you when you’re seeking to introduce some luxe touches into a feminine workspace. — Sasha from Lemonade Makin’ Mama

Neiman Marcus

Jonathan Adler Zebra Dish – $32

This small Jonathan Adler zebra dish into your choice of gold or silver would be ideal on a desktop. I’d use it for clips, washi tape or other small items.

The Land of Nod

I Can See Clearly Now Desk Mat – $35

I like you could use the space under this acrylic desk mat as inspiration. You can slip inspiring quotes, notes and photos beneath it, and change them out if you want something different.

Pottery Barn

Park Mirrored Desk – $699

I’ve enjoyed mirrored furniture for ages. It reminds me of old Hollywood glamour. I particularly like the size of this desk; it’s large enough so you can spread out on it compact enough to be slipped into a corner of a bedroom.

Office Luxe

Sugar Paper ‘You’ Print – $50

I love tucking inspirational typography into every room. This one is made from gold foil on a classic white background and may function as elegant and inspiring artwork above a desk.

Goal

Purple Orchid in Square Ceramic Pot – $29.99

Having blossoms on a desktop is a great way to receive a lovely jolt of happy color. This orchid is faux, so it will always be in blossom.

French Quartier Rug, Light Gray – $78

I don’t believe anything defines an area better than a pretty rug. I really like the understated colors and pattern of this one.

Neiman Marcus

Acrylic Desk Accessories – $28

I can not stop drooling over this Lucite stapler, and the desk organizers are excellent too.

Office Luxe

Jonathan Adler Brass Squirrel Letter Opener – $98

This gilded squirrel letter opener could make a sweetly elegant desktop touch.

These all-occasion cards as artwork would be to die for! I’d make sure to slip a few into frames or beneath my chair mat that is clear.

Lucite Desk Collection, Tape Dispenser – $44

Lucite again. I might have an addiction. I can never find my own tape — possibly since my two children are always using this up. Mama’s Lucite tape blower would be off-limits to small hands (well, mostly).

Anthropologie

Wandering Pleats Curtain, Lilac – $128

I’ve got two words for you: “lilac” and “ruffles.” These drapes are extremely girly — delicate and dainty.

Acanthus Corkboard – $299.99

Anthropologie

Swirled Geode Knob – $18

Sometimes a very simple knob upgrade on furniture is all it takes to change the whole look. I am able to view these Swirled Geode knobs on a cabinet or on a side table’s drawers.

Clarus Small Brass Display Box – $59.95

I love the look of transparent glass for pretty storage. This box includes brass edges and comes in a few different sizes, so you could stack a couple of these in plain sight.

Girly lighting is a must! I really like the simple elegance of this chandelier.
