An unspoken rule of thumb in interiors is never to rely on blue in rooms like kitchens or dining rooms in which meals is being presented. The idea is that blue tones are both unnatural and also make food look unappetizing. I am not sure how accurate that is, but I do know that rules are meant to be broken and blue kitchens are all looking trendy and present for me.
