Staining a deck black is a fantastic way to protect it from UV rays and other damage. The largest challenge you will face is finding a business which earns a black deck stain. It is not a popular colour, and you may need to try substituting an outside stain. It may also be possible to have a blot mixed to your liking, and speak with the staff in your regional paint shop to find out what’s possible.
Sweep the deck you’re staining to remove leaves, grass or other loose debris.
Apply a deck cleaner advocated for the deck’s surface; use a paint roller or sprayer. If you don’t want to use a deck cleaner, then you may use plain dish soap and then apply white vinegar to stained areas.
